What is
Speed Dating?
Speed Dating is
a new alternative way to meet a variety of single people.
Through taking part in a series of short one-to-one dates. you
are increasing your chances of matching with someone you would
like to get to know further. It’s simple and great fun.

Who goes
Speed Dating?
You will be
pleasantly surprised to find that participants are normal,
attractive people with varied interests. Most are
professionals who want to meet new people outside work and
their immediate circle of friends.
Do I have to book
in advance
Yes. In order to
secure yourself a place at one of our events we need to ask
participants to book in advance to avoid any disappointment.
Please note that events fill up on a first-come-first-served
basis so book early.
Are there
any special requirements?
You
must be 21 and over. We ask that you be open to meeting new
people. You must also have a valid email
address.
Can I attend an
event if I just outside the age range?
Yes, the age ranges that we give for each
event are simply guidelines.
But we do not advise that you
book for an event if you are well outside the age range as
your chances of meeting someone will be less
likely.
Can I come with
friends?
Absolutely. The
more, the merrier!
Remember our special offer: book 4
places, get 1 free! Back to the questions
Do many people
come on their own?
Yes most
of our guests come on their own. Initially speed dating may
seem a little intimidating, especially when you come on your
own, but you don’t need to worry. Our hosts are warm and
friendly and will be at hand to answer your questions and help
you relax and have a great time.
Can I pay at the
door?
We ask that people book
in advance so that for security reasons, we have details of
everyone attending. It is also important for us to monitor the
members attending an event. However, it may be possible to pay
at the door, but to avoid disappointment, we encourage you to
pre-book.
Is my Credit Card
secure?
Yes. All our Credit
card transactions are routed through PAYPAL. Your card
information is entered on a secure, encrypted server, and is
processed immediately. At no point is any of your card
information stored for later approval or retrieval, so you are
completely safe.
What is J-Link's
refund and/or cancellation policy?
Refunds are only issued if the actual J-Link event does not happen.
What is the format of a
J-Link event?
When you
first arrive you will be welcomed by our friendly hosts Roni and Ama, given
a personal badge (either with or without a dot/number) and a J-Link
Date scorecard for the Speed Dating session. After a short
time at the bar, the hosts will give you a brief iintroduction
to the evening and will run through everything you need to
know.
At the end of each
date you tick on your scorecard whether or not you want to
meet that person again. Please remember to do this after each
date to avoid any confusion and potential embarrassment! Also
write any comments that will help you remember your dates,
because you will keep your scorecard as a reference.
Remember, make sure you don’t disappear too quickly,
because the evening does not end here, as the bar stays open
and our guests usually stay on to get to know each other a
little better!
How many dates will I
have?
Usually, you will take
part in up to 5 or 10 dates in one evening. Some events may
be smaller, however the number of dates will never be lower
than 5.
Is 6 minutes long
enough?
It would be naïve of
us to say yes. However, statistics show that chemistry can be
immediate. In three minutes you know whether you have a
rapport with someone. The beauty of a 6-minute date is that
you don’t have to spend an entire evening with someone you
know is not for you. In 6 minute dating there is no need for
embarrassment as it is structured in such a way that you get
to choose who you want to date.
How long does a
J-Link event last?
Our
events last approximately 2-3 hrs, including drink breaks, but
this depends on the number of participants. Many participants
stay on after the speed dating session for a few drinks at the
bar.
What is a
match?
A match is when you
and one of your dates have both ticked on your scorecards that
you want to see each other again.
What are the venues
like?
All our events are held
in stylish venues. The events take place in sectioned-off
areas or VIP/function rooms, to provide our guests with the
ideal speed dating environment.
How should I
dress?
There is no
dress-code, therefore you should wear what you feel most
comfortable in. Remember nevertheless that you are trying to
make an impression as first impressions do count.
How
do I know if I got a match?
Remember to hand in your scorecards …we will
e-mail your results the following day
What
information is given to my matches?
Telephone numbers are only released with the
individuals consent generally in place of a valid e-mail
address.
Do I get to see who
ticked me?
No, you will only
receive the names and contact details of people that you
ticked in the first place.
Remember: be safe
and have fun
In order to have
a safe and fun date after the event, it is recommended that
you meet in a public place and you let a friend know where you
are. Its always a good idea to have a mobile with you. Have
fun and enjoy!!
