-Hello Everyone,

Well a week has passed and we have lost some pretty special people in the US. First off my prayers are extended to the family members of the people who lost there lives on the Metro on Monday. Michael Jackson has passed as well as Farrah Faucet. We never know when it is our time, so that is why I always tell myself to seize the momment. Be in that momment and be appreciative for the things you do have and the things you don't. Have a easy weekend.

For those that are traveling to NY, please be safe. For those that will be in the area, continue to support the promoters that are bringing choices to you each and every weekend.

Please join me on tonight, as Jamorr Ent. and Lace will start providing you a new "EXPERIENCE". Come join me as we bring all the women in DC to a place for us by us. DJ Miss Tiff will be spinning.

Check out the trailer Pariah by Dee Rees. Vote for her trailer so she can move on the competition. www.netflixfindyourvoice.com

Don't forget Listen UP - Live & Podcast. We have a great podcast with Angie & Gab two femmes doing big things, and letting us have just a glimpse of there life. Thank you Angie and Gab for joining us.

And the radio show, every Mon, Wed & Fri @ 10am.

I can't thank you enough for your continued support.

Gab & Angie

My name is Dee Rees and I’m an independent filmmaker. I’m reaching out to you because I’m currently writing/directing a coming-of-age film about a black, lesbian teenager called PARIAH. Audre Lorde’s work was one of my biggest inspirations in writing this piece, and the film seeks to personalize the struggles of gay/lesbian youth of color in such a way that evokes empathy, opens doors to communication, and promotes dialogue within families.  The short film of the same title screened at the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, The Walker Art Center, and has won numerous festival awards both domestically and abroad.

PARIAH is a semi-finalist in the Netflix FIND Your Voice Competition, but it’s a very close race and I could really use your support in order to raise awareness for the project. PARIAH is the only Black, Gay project in the running and I really need voices across all communities to show the film industry that audiences want to see this story and more stories like this represented onscreen.

I was hoping that you could please support me by visiting www.netflixfindyourvoice.com to view and vote for the trailer, and (if you’re feeling it) that you could forward this message far and wide to your friends, family, and network. Only the top 5  projects in this round move on, and we’re currently in 6th place and hanging on by a thread... Our goal is to get 20,000 stars, so any support you could lend us in getting this out to the broader community would be amazing.

Please find below a link to the film’s website where you can learn more about myself and the project’s history.

I believe that this film is a very important story that needs to be told and would be extremely grateful for any help you could lend!

Thanks so much for your time and consideration!

Warmest,

Dee

Could you forgive your lover/partner if there was an indescretion outside of the relationship. If so, why or why not.

Hey J

First I would like to say "Thank You" for the opportunity of allowing me a place to come and truly enjoy myself and for free. “WOW” Your First Friday Melt Down has the true flavor of a Good Old House Party full of good music and  nice people.

As the Vice President of the Black Lesbian Support Group I am often asked if I could recommend safe places where ladies can go for entertainment, fun or just to unwind.  Well, First Fridays and Barcode are always two sure mentions.  J hats off, and please keep doing what you’re doing!!!!
